Summer Edition ‘012 Day 41, 7th of September: Looking Forward

I am SO looking forward home, my friends & work!

I hate Paris! Hate is a hard word, but I feel so pressured & unwell here. :( The city is beautiful but the people here turn this down… Maybe now my luck has left me and it’s good for I miss home and want to go back :DDSC_2827 DSC_2829 DSC_2837

Rachel was the best thing that happened to me in Paris! xx

In the morning I went with Rachel to St. Germain where we said our final goodbyes. It is so sad. I met so many people and all we can do is to say goodbye…
I went straight to the Louvre & it took me 20 minutes from standing in line on topmof the pyramid to get to the Mona Lisa! (Guiness Book Of Records, you can write me a commment!) I also saw the painting of Napoleon’s crownation by David and some other paintings of Da Vinci!!!

After that I went to the Cemetary Pere Lachaise where many famous people are buried. I visited Jim morrison, Oscar Wilde, Edith Piaf, Marcel Proust, Frederic Chopin and that’s it =) It was a beuatiful & peaceful place- I enjoyed Paris for the first time!!!

I walked around/ outside the cemetary a little bit and went to Arc ‘de Triomph, which was quite impressive! In the evening hours I got to Eiffel Tower, looked for the Banksy graffity “This is not a photo opportunity” but it was cleaned away :( But the Eiffel Tower was great! I spent there some hours.

In St. Michel I had dinner finally in an Italian Restaurant, I had a delicious avocade salad & a pizza magharita, I can just recommend this place! Unfortunately I don’t know the name anymore…

Around 11pm I was back at the hostel, my feet (both!) were hurting very much! I had two new girls in my room, two Australians- Jessy & Jasmin. Kind of funny as well for the best friend of my sister Jasmin is calles Jessy. I went to the computers and chatted with my dear Lu, which was great!!! I missed talking to her so much!

Last night in a foreign country!

Summer Edition ‘012 Day 40, 6th of September: Getting To Know Paris

Thursday- Tomorrow is going to be friday- so my last free day of 6(!) weeks of vacation- I can’t really believe that!!!

Seriously- Totally! But I knew from the beginning I’d just be like that…

wow a FRENCH door…

Monmatre (the district I lived in)

In the morning I had breakfast- quite good for a hostel- with my roommate Rachel. We also decided to do something together in the evening. So I went to Sacre Couer to have a great view over the city. Here I have to tell I will try to be as positive as possible, I won’t tell about the rude french, sorry, assholes whom I met like FREQUENTLY!!! Maybe this is a cliche but they made it come true! I went to the fountain in front of St. Michel & waited for the Free Walking Tour, which I had in Prague 2 years ago as well.

Tourists, Tourists, everywhere you look…DSC_2541
I already saw this in the MOMA, NY ;DDSC_2544 DSC_2567

it says: boldness be my friend :)

There I met another american girl, Emily. She reminded me of Ailish =) The irish girl I met in Stockholm. We saw Notre Dame  (went inside on my own in the eve), Pont Neuf, Place Du Concorde, Louvre, Champ d’Elyssee & got to know some historical stuff, I had my fun. Alan the guide is actually from NY and studied Germanstik in Freiburg! Such a funny incident again!

So in the evening Rachel and me walked to Sacre Couer again and down to disctrict 9, where I won’t go on my own EVER again! Summary: A black racist/sexist who was almost hitting me & actually spitting at Rachel :/ (I don’t makle this stuff up, it happened as I told you!) I was so angry and ashamed…

You know, I don’t like “churches” but I love the architecture and the buildings :)DSC_2704 DSC_2705

We went to an Idian place where we had dinner and it was soooo good! Afterwards we went back to Sacre Couer and had a nice view on the Eiffel Tower while it was sparkling around 11pm.

Summer Edition ‘012 Day 39, 5th of September: Leaving for Paris

I still had some things on my To Do List for London, like

Abbey Road

I got up, bought breakfast at Tesco once again & went to the city to get to the Tube Station “St. John’s Wood” where I headed straight to Abbey Road & I played tourist once again =)

DSC_2371 DSC_2400 DSC_2403 DSC_2406 DSC_2393

It was really cool & so many people went to see the famous studios & area of the Beatles. I walked up and down the cross-walk and got photographed by a nice asian!!! His woman was there too, she looked a little bit like Yoko Ono, but I gues just because she was older and asian…

After the photoshoting I walked down to Regent’s park which was pretty nice but partly under conctructions. So I walked down (wow walking down, do you have any synonyms for that, normalean??? Nope.) the Sherlock Holmes Street (aka Baker Street) & headed to Bethnal Green to meet Sharif to look for some Banksys once again & we found one which has actual been changed a little bit- sadly.

DSC_2446 DSC_2460 DSC_2370 DSC_2368 DSC_2367

After going to Camden Town he brought me to St.Pancras at King’s Cross- wow, this station was like so fraking huge! And because of that, I guess, I totally forgot to get to the track of Harry Potter… We had some Chai Latte & a coffee, said goodbye & I went to the Eurostar area where I had to let my luggage get checked in.

I went to Paris within 2:15 hours and listened to the following songs:

1. Kelly Clarkson- My Life Would Suck Without You
2. Two Gallants- Las Cruses Jail
3. The Indelicates- Flesh
4. Portishead- Only You (live)
5. Mew- Symmetry
6. Die Ärzte- Claudia (live)
7. The Damned- Problem Child
8. Foo Fighters- Learn To Fly (live)’
9. Rufus Wainwright- Harvest Of Heart
10. Foo Fighters- Word Forward

I slept a lot =) When I arrived in Paris I got really confused by thr maps they had in the station & a very rude french couldn’t speak in whole sentences to me so I got pissed but I managed to get to my Hostel. There I met my two roommates, Alinsa from Rumania & Rachel from California, USA. We walked like a lot & then I went very tired to sleep!
