Summer Edition ‘012 Day 39, 5th of September: Leaving for Paris

I still had some things on my To Do List for London, like

Abbey Road

I got up, bought breakfast at Tesco once again & went to the city to get to the Tube Station “St. John’s Wood” where I headed straight to Abbey Road & I played tourist once again =)

It was really cool & so many people went to see the famous studios & area of the Beatles. I walked up and down the cross-walk and got photographed by a nice asian!!! His woman was there too, she looked a little bit like Yoko Ono, but I gues just because she was older and asian…

After the photoshoting I walked down to Regent’s park which was pretty nice but partly under conctructions. So I walked down (wow walking down, do you have any synonyms for that, normalean??? Nope.) the Sherlock Holmes Street (aka Baker Street) & headed to Bethnal Green to meet Sharif to look for some Banksys once again & we found one which has actual been changed a little bit- sadly.

After going to Camden Town he brought me to St.Pancras at King’s Cross- wow, this station was like so fraking huge! And because of that, I guess, I totally forgot to get to the track of Harry Potter… We had some Chai Latte & a coffee, said goodbye & I went to the Eurostar area where I had to let my luggage get checked in.

I went to Paris within 2:15 hours and listened to the following songs:

1. Kelly Clarkson- My Life Would Suck Without You
2. Two Gallants- Las Cruses Jail
3. The Indelicates- Flesh
4. Portishead- Only You (live)
5. Mew- Symmetry
6. Die Ärzte- Claudia (live)
7. The Damned- Problem Child
8. Foo Fighters- Learn To Fly (live)’
9. Rufus Wainwright- Harvest Of Heart
10. Foo Fighters- Word Forward

I slept a lot =) When I arrived in Paris I got really confused by thr maps they had in the station & a very rude french couldn’t speak in whole sentences to me so I got pissed but I managed to get to my Hostel. There I met my two roommates, Alinsa from Rumania & Rachel from California, USA. We walked like a lot & then I went very tired to sleep!

Summer Edition ‘012 Day 38 4th of September: No Title

When I woke up my foot was worse than the day before- great!!!

I think I walked too much but still there’s so much to see! Classical dilemma! (At this point of my voyage I didn’t know my foot was broken… I found afterwards in Germany!)

Went straight to Picadilly Circus to buy a ticket for “We Will Rock You”- which was a great decision! I went to Notting Hill to finally see the Portobello Road Market! Beautiful I can tell, bought a “Notting Hill Shopping Bag”, the design of Natalie Imbruglia (there are several designs), bought at a 1 pound shop a film roll!!! & I found some original Banksys!!! Whoohoo! Found a famous one which is already protected & a new one- still I am not 100% sure if it is a Banksy grafitty or not. (Edit: It wasn’t) I was proud finding something on my own without the help of a smartphone or other devices!

I waited for Sharif but when he didn’t show up after 2 hours of waiting ( I am good at waiting but enough is enough :D)  I left for Camden Town. I liked it but when I went to Camden Lock Market on the ground I really felt uncomfortable, you know. My issue. And I just needed and wanted to leave and so I did. Glad, Sharif showed up not long after that.

teaching the world to kick ass, lesson 1…

there was one too… :(

Then we went “Banksy Hunting” together, which was really fun! Some we found, some were already gone. Sharif took me to Brick Lane, Beigel Bake where we had delicious pieces of cheese cake, which he gave to me. It was four pieces and he was like “Ms. Church, you eat all of them…” He is a little crazy, you know… Four pieces for me? I don’t think about that too long!!! ;) (He took 1 piece at least).

Unfortunately we didn’t have so much time for I had to be at the Dominion Theatre around 7 o’clock to pick up my ticket.
I enjoyed “We Will Rock You” so much!!! It wasn’t sold out so I could get an even better place I had before (and this one was good as well, and cheap!) So I had a great seat in the stalls of only 40 pounds! I really liked the show but I already told you that I guess =)

DSC_2056 DSC_2300 DSC_2302

I went to New Oxford Street to see one more Banksy & went home.

my favorite one!!!

at night at Picadilly

The movie “Anna Karenina” (by Tolstoj) had it’s premiere at the Odeon Cinema & when I went there after the show everything was gone already, no Jude, no Keira, too bad :P But I had a nice day though!

Summer Edition ‘012 Day 36 & 37, 2nd & 3rd of September: Bittersweet Farewell

Well, actually it’s just like that in my traveling diary, I wrote two days into one post and didn’t recognize, that it was two days I was writing about :D DSC_1378

goodbye, Liverpool!

I slept until 9 o’clock, made myself ready for the day (still have to take the painkillers) and went to the city, Tube Station: Liverpool Street =) Since now, it is 8pm I didn’tbtake the tube again, I walked all day, my foot hurts a little bit & both are very dirty (since I am only wearing flip flops)

I totally forgot to mention the first 10 songs on my 6-hour bus ride to LONDON!!!

1. The Little Mermaid- Under The Sea (haha, how great!)
2. Scumbucket- By The Way
3. MGM Studio Orchestra- Stunt Montage
4. Muse- Invincible
5. Rio Reiser- Wir Wollen Langeweile
6. Ratatat- Black Heroes
7. Movits!- Det vete fan
8. Aerogramme- The Question Is Complete
9. Coldplay- Yellow
10. An Albatross- The Psychonaut & The Rustbelt

And on my busride I had such a nice old woman next to me, we talked a little while & she reminded me of my granny…

next day… the street I lived in :)

DSC_1394 DSC_1396 DSC_1399

Right now I had dinner at Tibits, a vegetarian restaurant Lu just told me about via sms. (THANK YO; SWEETY FOR HELPING ME WITH THAT!!! :* )
She found out about via: http://www.veggieplaces.com

1.Vanilla Black
2. Veggie/vegan
3. Tibits
4. Mr. Man
5. Vitaorganic

After arriving in London I had to take the Tube from Victoria Bus Station to Westham, where I lived at Sharif’s place :) So happy to see him and the guys again. Because of the Paralympics he was 1 hour delayed and I was very… bad mooded :D

So, back to the other day I was just talking about:

DSC_1411 DSC_1415 DSC_1419  DSC_1425  DSC_1445 DSC_1449 DSC_1461

So I walked down & up Brick Lane, I always wanted to go- many, like a dozen vintage stores but I wanted to have breakfast which was HARD TO FIND!!! (I don’t know, I am not well prepared!). Around noon I found a place where I had a “Smuesli” & a cupuccino- which wasn’t satisfying at all and so expensive, so I went to Tesco afterwards to buy some water, a cookie and a croissant… This was great & cheap! I love Tesco!

DSC_1482 DSC_1485 DSC_1489 DSC_1491 DSC_1494 DSC_1495   DSC_1508

I walked to Tower Bridge, down the Thames, St- Pauls where someone was about to kill himself =( which is not a joke… People where staring & taking photos of him- DISGUTSTING! Still, I can’t believe it. And, as you know me, I was making space for my anger and shoted at them that they are disgusting…

DSC_1523 DSC_1527 DSC_1537 DSC_1545  DSC_1556 DSC_1557  DSC_1583 DSC_1591 DSC_1624DSC_1546

I walked over Millenium Bridge still down the Thames (or up??? Well, direction from Tower Bridge to Buckingham), to the National Theatre, by the House of  Parliament, Big Ben, Westrminster Abbey to Buckingham Palace, The Viccy Fountain, St. James Park, Hyde Park down Oxford Street. Walk walk walk, with my broken (yes, broken) foot!

DSC_1628 DSC_1675 DSC_1801 DSC_1830

And, just another CRAZY stroy: Just when I was at the House of Parliament someone knocked my softly on my shoulder, I turned around and saw the two french students, who were also in my dorm at “Hatters” in Liverpool!!! SO FUNNY!!! Still the coincidents are on my side.

Sitting near by, he was.

DSC_1982 DSC_1988

I walked to Picadilly Circus and the West End and I decided to buy a ticket for one of the shows in the morning!!!
