Summer Edition ‘012 Day 35, 1st of September: Grab your luck while it’s still there

I know our story sounds quite made up & unbelieveable, lucky I have at least Lisa and Maria who believe me because they had the same experiences =)

Counting down from 10

Somewhere here lived our Couchsurfing Host

We were so happy to leave the hostel and our 10-bed-dorm for every night we woke up because of drunk young people who were very loud… (When I am sick I can be pretty pissy because of that…)
We had breakfast, packed our stuff & checked out. We would meet Fred in front of Queens Square Information, where is a huge compass on the ground, we counted down from 10 to 0 and- Fred was there (number 1), we took a bus to his place, a house more like a museum than anything else, but great stuff, I like the pictures, sculptures, music instruments and so on!

The room we slept in was very cosy, under the roof, the room of his flatmate Louise, too bad we didn’t meet her! We got rid of our stuff & got back to the city. We wanted to take the Mersey Ferry so we went to the Docks. On the way we found a small artists- flea- market which was so beautiful. Mary & me bought each a pair of beautiful earrings! I got grey-blue chrysamthemes. The sun was shining & we were so happy that we were still there in Liverpool!

Everywhere around the town are these pianos and everyone can play on it. And this stylish old man was just playing freaking hell great!!!

This red-hair was good as well :)

I could walk properly =) (With the anti-pain-pills)

We didn’t take the ferry for it was more expensive on the weekend than during the week! 8 pounds each… ok for 50 minutes, but still too much for us. We walked up to the Liverpool Cathedral which was a great choice! Beautiful windows & we heard a rehearsal of the cathedral choir which was angellike, I almost cried, so beautiful!!! (Although I don’t give a damn about religious stuff, this was just mindblowing!)

We took some photos at Hope Street (the suitcases from LIPA) and walked down Bold Street, but before that we found a great vintage shop, where our “Kaufrausch” began, Lisa bought herself a cool top & I got to know Libby, a costume designer working at a theatre!!! Unbelieveable… We are in contact now and who knows what happens next =) She has a great style, she also told us to call her in the evening, she could show us around (unfortunately she didn’t have time when I texted her).

So we went down Bold Street and into many retro/ 2nd hand stores =)

We went back to Fred’s place to bake a chocolate fudge cake & “poor knight” for dinner for us. In the evening we went allttogether to MelloMello & joined a concert of 3 bands for 4 pounds! (actually 4 bands but we missed the 1st). I enjoyed the 2nd band most, the sounded a little bit like Calexico. And there we met 2 austrian girls, Doris & Michi, who were also staying at “Hatters” and they were also there at my accident- funny coincidence again.

Lisa, Maria and Fred in a cab

So we went home by taxi for there are no buses to VFred’s home after 11pm (can you believe that, in a city like LVRPL???) and went straight to sleep. Besides the 2 times- singing at “Hatters” in my sleep I shouted this time =) Poor Lisa & Mary :P
